Saab Cars: A baby of the Jets

The credit for the emergence of Saab cars goes to a Swedish aircraft maker. It is said that a group of 16 aircraft engineers worked and gave birth to the first cars. The interesting thing about it is that it was made on aerodynamic aircraft design. Therefore, it is said that Saab cars were born from jets. Now this company is a part of General Motors, which is known as the largest automaker in the world. However, the Saab jet is working as a separate division.

It was before the outbreak of the Second World War when Saab saw the light of the day. At that time it manufactured aircrafts, and because of high performing Saab regional jets, it set up a market in the US and all over the world.

Saab turned to the manufacturing of cars in 1949, when its first extraordinarily engineered car, Saab 92, came out on the road. These cars were designed by using aerodynamic based engineering giving the benefit of when compared to modern cars, very few can compete with them. The most important thing about Saab is that it produced cars with technological innovations. These technological advancements were used by other car manufactures all over the world later on.

In the 1980s, Saab also took to the strategy of competing with the altering requirements of a new world market in the rising and mounting global economy. And the time came in 1990 when the automobile unit was came up as the offshoot  from the parent company which General Motors carried forward occupying 50% of the business.

One thing is obvious here that Saab has been successful in creating its sway on the market by dint of its amazing and unmatched quality and technology. And, as a testimony to it, it is now taking a move even to include its first ever SUV.
