The Valuable Vintage Pontiac Cars of 1960s

Since the advent of automobiles on earth, there have been a series of brands with their own specializations. Pontiac is one of them, and it is produced by General Motors. It has been in the markets of the United States, Mexico and Canada since 1926. Pontiac is marketed as the ‘athletic’ brand of General Motors is sold in the market as Pontiac. Even mainstream performance vehicles are produced under this brand.

In the history of Pontiac, the 60s is supposed to be a remarkable period because of Vintage Pontiac cars which as muscle cars hit the block. These Vintage 1960s models are as follows:

The Pontiac Bonneville: This model is a classic. It made its stamp as one of the biggest available cars looking ideal for a huge family. The main feature of this car was the 348 horsepower engine packed 389 cubic inches with Tri-Power carburetion.

The Catalina: this model of the vintage 1960s Pontiac cars, could not create so much sensation. However, it was also a big car with a V-8 engine 421-inch which was known for efficient acceleration up to 95 miles per hour.

The Firebird: This Pontiac model was popular especially among young drivers due to its alluring low price. It was the Pontiac version of the sporty Chevy Camaro with 250 horsepower effeciency.

The Grand Prix: This model is reckoned among Pontiac's biggest models.

The GTO: among all the muscle cars of 1960s, this Vintage model became most popular, being smaller in size and higher in speed up to 130 miles per hour.

The Tempest: This model was a compact car launched first time by Pontiac. In comparison with ill-fated Chevy Corvair, it was not as bad as it had unusually fashioned style and a front-mounted engine.

The Ventura: This model had the Catalina frame and body. It was later combined into the Grand Prix line.
