Suzuki is known across the world for manufacturing motor vehicles and light trucks. However, during the first thirty years, the production focused on manufacturing weaving looms for the Japanese silk industry. At present, the revenue drawn by the company comes across $20 billion. It was in 1955 that the company produced its first vehicle, Suzulight, a light weight car.
Before the car, it was the motorcycle that came off the assembly line in 1952. Apart from the motorcycles that had been quite popular in 1960s and 1970s, Suzuki is also known for racing its bikes. The great vehicle producing name grabbed 2000 MotoGP title.
Since 2006, after the company was sponsored by Rizla, it began manufacturing trucks, several other types of compact cars, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles … the list is a long one. Apart from being a major vehicle producing business, the company has also produced vehicles for others including General Motors, Subaru, Mazda, Nissan etc. And who can forget Maruti Suzuki and also Suzuki’s ATVs and motor cycles?

From making the weaving looms in the starting decades of the business, the company has come a long way. In the field of manufacturing vehicles, it has been giving a tough competition to the European rivals and ever will!
