Buick: The Name That Has Been There for More Than 100 Years…

The Buick Motor Car Company came into existence in 1903 and the first model appeared in 1904. The cars produced by the company have always been known for their designs, features, and technology. The name boasts of being GM's only US-based semi-luxury brand at present. Apart from this, it is also the fourth oldest marque throughout the entire world.

Buick produced almost magical cars during the 1950s. Even the 2-door models were quite stylish and offered plenty of room. As far as the full size cars are concerned, Buick La saber could never be forgotten. It was launched in 1959. It had also been America's best selling full-size sedan for a time span longer than 12 years.

The design of Buick was quite streamlined in the early 1960s. The year 1963 witnessed the famous Buick Riviera. The V8 engine used by the big name was quite popular in the 1950s and 1960s. It was because of the vertical attachment of the valve covers. As a result, the engine could fit into smaller spaces. Moreover, maintenance was much easier now.

The models were always accompanied by special accessories and parts making the cars more stylish. These cars were quite popular and stayed ahead of their competitors not only maintaining the previously gained market, but even generating new ones.

Buick always understood (and still does) the customer quite well. It delivered what the American market wanted it to deliver. It is selling what the people want to purchase. It has been successful not only to manage a greater number of customers, but in fact win them over. It has been a golden name as far as American cars are concerned. A large number of people always want to be proud Buick owners.
