Eagle – Super Fine Cars

Eagle automobiles, is not a big name in the world of automobile but it has carved out its own niche. Eagle has its brands like Jeep-Eagle, Eagle Vista, Eagle Premier, passenger cars, light trucks etc. It was founded in the year 1988 with its manufacturing unit in Aubum Hills, Michigan in United States. The name Eagle was taken from American Motor Corporation (AMC). The vehicles were marketed by AMC dealers. It was formed after Chryslers purchased American Motors.

The company could not establish its own market because it had a diverse line up. So, it could not compete with bigger names in automobile industry. The company suffered because it did not had any logo or badge of its own that it could impart a name. Eagle also lacked in advertising of its brands which normally the bigger brands do to sell its products. So, the company with its production unit was shut down.

In spite of the shut down of its production unit, Eagle produced some of the world class super fine cars. These are:
Eagle Wagon – Produced in the year 1979 the model was based on AMC Concord. Its production ended in the year 1987 and lasted in the market in the early 1988’s.
Eagle Medallion – It was a re-version of the French Renault 21 model. Both models were being built on the same platform. While the former French Renault 21 model differed with the Eagle Medallion in features of powertrain, front style and trim.

Eagle also produced some sports coupe. They were:
Eagle Talon – The Talon was sold under Eagle bannered name. It had features like two doors, hatchback, 2+2 seating arrangements, front wheel drive, 5 speed manual.
Eagle GTX – It was sold under the banner name of Mitshubishi Motors. It had similar appearances like Mitshubishi Galant. It could only make market in Canada.
Eagle Vision – It was a full size, front wheel drive sports sedan car. It was sold under the banner of Chrysler Corporation.
