All about the MG Car Models

The 1924 14/28 was the first model of MG car was, which was made on a Morris Oxford chassis and it had a sporty body and look. The modification in the Morris continued until a new-fangled MG car was launched in 1928 and its chassis was designed purposefully.
As regards to the brand popularity of MG, it was acquired only during the early phase of global car racing. Even after the Second World War, it continued to produce cars which were called as the T-Series Midgets. Its hallmark became its success and it started exporting cars such as the MG TD, MG TC, and the like. These were the updated version of the pre-war MG TB.
In 1955 MG came with the MGA which a new design which was followed by the MGB which was launched in 1962. This model was designed keeping modern sophistication and amenities of sports automobiles in mind.
Another upgradation with the preset head coupé (FHC) came in 1965. Soon after in the next few years, MGC was introduced, and this had a bigger and heavier engine with six-cylinder posing some problem in handling. Even after 1980, MG continued to reign by putting its badge on several Austin saloons such as the Maestro, Metro, and Montego.
In 1990 it so happened that a Rover model was launched by stopping the production of the MG Metro. In fact, it was 1992 when the Rover Group came up again with the MG RV8 which was the two-seater. The MG range was expanded in the summer of 2001 with the introduction of three Rover-based sports models: MG ZR, MG ZS, and the MG ZT/ZT-T.
And after buying Qvale, the MG Rover Group renamed it as Qvale Mangusta which being already permitted for sale in the United State, created the ground of the MG XPower SVsports car.
