Indispensable Information as to Studebaker Electric Car

The Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company produced the Studebaker Electric automobile. This was powered by the battery and it came in the market in 1902 and it was sold up to 1912.

The production of the Studebaker started officially in 1902. Studebaker Electric was decided to be powered by the battery. There was great thought and vision behind this decision to the power the Studebaker Electric by dint of the battery. Some of the reasons behind this decision to power the Studebaker Electric by batters were that they were easily recharged, clean and their performance was very impressive in urban locations without any requirement of refueling the depots.

The style of the Studebaker Electrics was matchless. There were wide ranges of style that were given to the Studebaker Electric automobiles. Every style had its own saga to tell but after all they were unique and appealing to innocent eyes. Many of the body styles were the imitation of the bodies that was long ago made for its profitable commuter carriage line. Victoria, Stanhope, and Surrey were some of them.  It was only in 1904 when a four-passenger model was brought into the market.

It is a well known fact Studebaker was well versed in the body building of the product and the and in the distribution of the product. They were not expert in engine building. Their main fort was body building not the engine building.

This very realization of the fact that they were not expert in engine building motivated them to create the Studebaker-Garford automobile and in 1904 they were successful in fulfilling this intention with the help of a coalition.  But this coalition continued only until 1910 and finally it ended.

After some time, Studebaker electric cars were stopped to be produced in 1912, and they thus involved in the production of the gasoline powered engines.

  1. The introduction of the electric vehicles in the transport industry would no doubt reduce air pollution.
