An inside information the Oldsmobile

Oldsmobile is one of the leading compact car manufacturers of America. It is a very popular brand name in the car manufacturing industries. Actually cars are manufactured by the General Motors, but they are put in the market under the brand name of Oldsmobile. This company emerged in 1992, and since then it has been hallmark in race with the manufacturing of the compact cars. And now the name itself is no misnomer.
The real identity of Oldsmobile lies in the manufacturing of the compact cars. Oldsmobile compact cars are available in two designs. These designs define the body styles of the cars: one having the style of the coupe with 2 doors and other having the style of the sedan with 4 doors. As far as the body of the car is concerned, it is in competition with the big car model like Buick Skylark,  Chevrolet Malibu, the Pontiac Grand Am and the Oldsmobile Cutlass. A question may arise in the minds of people like why the company mainly focuses on the production of the compact vehicles. In this regard the GM brought the fact to light that these compact cars can give good tussle to those not only in America but also in the markets of other countries like Japan.
Oldsmobile launched its first compact car in 1992. It had the FF N body and GM N platform. When it comes to car, it is also seen if the existing levels of car have four trims like the S, the SL, the SC and the SCX. What exactly Oldsmobile compact car is known for is its engine which claimed to have superiority over others in terms of high output efficiency. Oldsmobile launched a handy version which was the 2.3 Quad 4 LD9, and later there came the 3.1 L V6 which was a modified version.
