AUDI AG is quite a well known German automobile manufacturer that produces cars and SUVs under the brand called AUDI. The famous company was founded by August Horch in 1910. The original name of the company was Audiwerke GmbH. Horch is the German word for hark and AUDI means the same in Latin.  

The company is headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria. Volkswagen Group that later came to be known as Volkswagen AG owns it almost completely. It is a subsidiary (99.7%) of the group. The Volkswagen Group incorporated this make of German cars. The latter was acquired by the Group as a part when the Group purchased Auto Union and the assets falling under NSU Motorenwerke AG (NSU).

The great name AUDI believes in the production of scientifically improved and highly technological products. The tagline for the company reads “Vorsprung durch Technik”. Translated in English, it says, "Advancement through Technology".  The tagline in German is extensively used by the company in quite a few countries including the United Kingdom, Canada and in a number of markets in Latin America, Oceania, and partially in Asia including the highly technologically developed Japan! However, in North America, the tagline reads "Innovation through technology".

The long list countries listed above is a proof in itself how successful AUDI is throughout the whole world. The company also offers a rich variety of cars for leasing. You can buy one and even get one on lease. The company seems to understand the pulse of the market well. It does not just maintain the already gained market, but keeps generating newer ones, staying ahead of the competition! No wonder, it is one of the highly successful names in the world of cars across the world!
